Milani Baked Blush in Luminso-Best drugstore makeup products
About the Product-Milani Baked Blush in Luminso $7.29
This silky blush with benefits can be used so many ways.
- It shapes
- It contours
- It highlights
Description-Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, it’s buildable from sheer to vibrant. Yes, it adds a cheeky pop of colour to your complexion. Radiance and warmth, too.
*****I love this color and I love this blush! Very pigmented. I have purchased several expensive baked blushes over the past few years. They all go on looking great, but within about an hour its as if I have no blush on at all. This product stays on!! Hooray!!! Also worth noting is that this is not a huge amount of product, but I like that its on the smaller size because for the price point and add to that it doesn’t add yet another gigantic item into my make-up kit.
*****-When I first dug into this blush, I was alarmed to see how shimmery it was. It looked more of a highlighter than it did a blush. I swatched it with my fingers and saw how shiny it was and immediately pressed the ABORT button. However, I decided to put it on my cheeks before ruling anything out. I buffed the stuff in and looked in the mirror, amazed.
It’s a bit hard to explain, but the blush in the pan looked like a warm baby pink color. When I put Luminoso on my face, however, it turned into this super natural peachy pink and gave me this glow-from-within that everybody’s always trying to achieve. I look so healthy and radiant with this blush. For the record, I have neutral skin, with slightly more yellow undertones than cool.
****-This blush is AMAZING! I have medium skin or like a sandy-beigy-neutral skin tone and it’s the best blush I’ve had to date. It has all these different tones and colors to it that really should compliment just about any skin tone. Such a fan! It makes you look like you just have this natural glow which I have never, ever had. Thanks awesome inexpensive Milani Luminoso! You are awesome!

*****-I’ve experimented with various liquid eyeliners in the past, and I have to say, this one is my current favorite. I’ve played around with various brands you can get in the drugstore, as well as one particular liquid eyeliner from Sephora, and it’s comparable to, if not better than, them all.
The applicator is long, but sturdy and pretty thin and tapered. Makes for easy application, especially if doing any wings at the end. It goes on smoothly. Occasionally I’ll need to go over a couple spots that don’t look as good, but this is nothing I haven’t had to do with every other eyeliner I’ve used, as well. It stays on for a long time without smudging or fading, BUT: it is not waterproof. The waterproof drugstore brands I’ve used are flaky, while the waterproof Sephora ones are a little out of my preferred price range. So this aspect doesn’t matter much to me. But it’s good to know.
I picked this up on a whim from CVS because of its price, but I think I’ll continue buying it from now on. A really great, cheap, liquid eyeliner.
*****-This is one of my favorite “cheap” liners. You get a solid smooth black line with this and the thin paint brush applicator is excellent to get a perfect cat eye wing. It does need a second to dry but once dry it stays all day. My favorite quality on this is the brush… Felt tip pens tend to not give solid flow and i usually end up with a line thicker than i wanted thats not perfect since i have to go over the same spot multiple times to get a solid line, other brushes are not stiff enough to allow for good control either… But this brush is! I have been doing a cat eye for 10/15 years now so I’ve got the technique down… I learned and perfected it with this product. There are more expensive liners i use now that i like better but this one is the best budget choice and great if your struggling to get a perfect line with other liners. If it starts to get dry just add a few drops of water to the tube, screw the cap on shake and your good to go! Doing this makes this last a really long time.

*****-I LOVE Maybelline Gel Eye Liner – Brown!
I always had this problem of the stick eye liner melting around my eyes and making me look like a racoon, and liquid eye liners always flaked and faded because i have EXTREMELY oily skin including my eye lid area.after trying this gel liner I’ll never go back! It even has a really fine angular brush that comes free with it! How cool is that?! It’s very soft and does the job perfectly. You can make your eye liner as thick or as thin as you desire. It’s also really nice for blending in with eye shadow. I have caramel Asian skin, slightly on the fairer side, so I got brown for office wear, slightly subtle; and black for party wear.It lasts all through the day and is water proof as well. At the end of the day all I have to do is gently dab away the eye liner with a clean earbud covered in a little lotion-type eye-makeup remover. Avon’s is amazingly gentle, hydrating, and very very affordable!I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants their eye makeup to actually stay on their eyes and not melt off or flake off.
*****-I’ve been doing my eyeliner the same way for going on five years – a very dark and very thick “cat eye.” I am constantly getting asked about how I do this and what product I use, and people are always surprised that I use a cream liner rather than a liquid. For me, liquid liner tends to separate, sometimes crack, and everyone knows that you’ve really got to be careful with it because it’s so temperamental. This eyeliner isn’t like that at all, it’s extremely smooth, it stays locked on all day (and even overnight!) and it always looks absolutely divine. There is no other eyeliner that I’ll ever use – so I hope they never discontinue this. A jar of this liner lasts me 4-6 months on a daily use, doesn’t irritate my extremely sensitive skin, and doesn’t have some chemical-like scent. If there’s any beauty product I recommend to people of all skin tones, ages, and styles, it’s this.

Maybelline Concealer-Best drugstore makeup products
About the Product
- Erase Dark Circles
- Ease Puffiness
- Ease Fine Lines Instantly
Micro-Corrector Applicator micro-fills and smooths fine lines.Active formula with Haloxyl reduces the look of puffiness and under-eye shadows, while fading the appearance of under-eye circles.Apply the neutralizer shade for extreme dark circles, or the brightener shade for a luminous touch.
*****-This concealer performs way better than the price would indicate. I love the sponge applicator for ease in applying. I use it for under eye circles and as a general brightener and spot concealer. I love it and have placed it on auto delivery. Note that there are at least three products that look the same in the tube. One is a neutralizer-I apply it first, just a small amount in spots where “super concealer” might be wanted. For me it’s in a shadow under my eyes. Next is the main concealer which I put over the neutralizer around my eyes and in any darker areas on my face that I wish to cover a little and brighten. Then is the little brightener, which is sort of pink and glowy. Just a dab on the tear duct area and a dab on the outside edge of eyes and pat it in. It’s lovely. I’ve used many products for these areas, many of them high-dollar but I haven’t found anything that I like as much as this. They also stay on all day! One thing that I find weird though is the labeling on the packages. They all read identically the same, as if they would be the same product. They aren’t! You have to look for tiny writing on the end of tube to see which product is which. I used three different colors of paint and drew circles around my tubes to make it easier to find them when getting them out of the makeup drawer.
*****-I was born with dark circles thanks to thin skin and severe allergies. Without make up, I look like a crack whore. This is definitely the best of the drugstore concealers. It’s easy to put on and the handy applicator controls the amount. I use an illuminator underneath the concealer which also helps. Worth the money.

NYX-Best drugstore makeup products
About this Product
Light-weight, emollient concealer. Provides medium to natural coverage for larger areas of the face. Non-comedogenic formula works on all skin types.
*****-I have been using MAC concealer for years and didn’t think it could get any better. On some random whim, I decided to try this one and I love it more than my MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer NC15. It’s emollient and creamy so it never gets flaky. Even though it is emollient and creamy it doesn’t budge. Stays put. It creases a little but if you blend it well and set with powder it isn’t as bad. It also lasts through the two hours of power yoga I do on a daily basis so I’d say it’s about perfect. My MAC concealer did not hold up.
As far as the shade goes, it’s perfect for me. I’m a pale NC15 in MAC and the Light shade of this one is well matched, even better actually because it doesn’t have some of the orange tint the MAC one does. It’s excellent. Definitely recommended.-
*****-I really like this but have to order it in a lighter color. I am fair skinned with pink undertones and wanted to use a concealing wand to highlight my face so I ordered this in ‘Light’. This is about one shade lighter than my skin and was a little darker than I was expecting. It does not highlight as much as I want (for my skin tone) but as far as concealing-It is a great product, and even a great product if you want a subtle highlight if you are light skinned.
How I use it: I moisturize my face, prime my face, put a thin layer of foundation on (I use MAC studio fix NW20), then use this concealer under my eyes and blend with a flat round foundation blush. This really helps conceal redness, freckles and blemishes. After it is blended in, I powder on a translucent finishing powder (MAC) and then set it with MAC’s setting spray and it does not go Anywhere! No creases or no running, not even in this hot Florida heat. This is a phenomenal product for the price and I am keeping it for an everyday concealer and buying it in Porcelain!

Loreal Telescopic-Best drugstore makeup products
About the Product
*****-I must admit I’ve been a bit high maintenance regarding my mascara in the past. I’ve tried drugstore brands here and there, only to be disappointed that I look like a crack whore with spidery eyelashes after two swipes of the wand. Not quite the look I’m going for. For the past 15 years, I’ve been looking for the perfect mascara that will give me DEFINED, BEAUTIFUL, VOLUMINOUS lashes. I did find several that I liked, but the problem was they were all $25-35. It gets quite expensive after a while!
Lancome Definicils was one of my go-to favorite mascaras (also have tried many variations of Lancome Hypnose, Dior Extase, Dior Blackout, YSL, Estee Lauder, MUFE, Benefit, etc). After running out of my last tube and needing another mascara on a whim, I did EXTENSIVE research to figure out what mascaras were most popular and what those people liked/did not like about each of those mascaras. I probably did research for a few hours a week over two months. Ridiculous, I know, but I’m super research-oriented and do this on most of my purchases to get a great cost/benefit analysis to make sure the product will meet my needs.I found a problem withe the reviews. Drugstore mascaras that had good reviews (4+ out of 5 stars) were rated by people who WANTED a natural mascara look that just enhances what you already have. I wanted volume, length, and whatever, so essentially, those “highly rated” drug store mascaras DID NOT WORK for me at all. I have blue eyes, fair complexion, freckles, and medium brown hair, and need all the help I can get to emphasize my eyes.
I really like the L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara (in Carbon Black!) because of a few things:
1) THE WAND! You can really get in there and grab whatever lashes you want to with this wand. Do another coat and you can easily get extra volume and definition. Don’t apply too many coats or else you may need to get a spooly to separate your lashes a bit.
2) THE FORMULA! I’ve been wearing this stuff for about a year and it does not flake, smear, or give me raccoon eyes. I have hooded lids and don’t have any issues with this mascara at all. It’s fantastic, I promise!
3) IT LASTS A WHILE! I don’t think this mascara dries out very quickly, so you can use it for more than a month or two without it drying out too badly. Much longer shelf life than the more expensive brands.
4) THE PRICE! Think about this: if you’re paying $30 (with tax, let’s assume) for a more expensive mascara, and let’s say you can get by with using each tube for two months, you’re spending $180 on mascara for the year. Compare that price to this tube… let’s say you get this mascara for about $8 with tax and use each tube for two months, that’s $48 for the year. FORTY-EIGHT DOLLARS. That’s a savings of $132. Or, another way to look at this: one year of expensive mascara can buy you about 3.75 years of this L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara! That’s an awesome cost/benefit analysis if you tell me

L’oreal Primer-Best drugstore makeup products
About the Product
- Instant smoothing results that perfect skin texture, instantly and all day with a unified matte finish that’s flawless
- The silky, lightweight formula glides onto skin and minimizes the look of pores and fine lines
- Suitable for all skin types
- Dermatologist tested; non-comedogenic
*****-I discovered primer about a year or so ago. I now won’t put on make up without using a primer. Why a primer? Your make up will go on smoother, and stay on longer. I leave the house around 7 am, and get back home around 8 or 9 pm. I don’t have a lot of time to touch up make up, or even to re-apply later in the day. I live in a hot and humid climate. I highly recommend this primer. I have used Smashbox’s, which I love but it costs about 3 times as much. I thought for the price point this primer was wonderful, my make up didn’t slide off my face, and it held true all day. I would highly recommend checking out this primer!
*****-I was surprised that a drug store brand worked this well. I use it just under the eye area and it’s like ‘spackle’ it just smooths over any fine lines and they are almost invisible after application. There are light reflectors in it and it’s well done for a budget item.
I would use a light touch because it is thick, but for mature skin it is the next best thing to botox.
